Alhambra Credit Union is located in the heart of Alhambra Village, in Phoenix, Arizona. We are a state-chartered, full-service credit union with two offices. Our offices are located in Phoenix and in Avondale. ACU serves the financial needs of school district employees and other individuals within the community.
Our philosophy is to provide low-cost services, which are beneficial to our members, and which promote thrift and the responsible use of credit. We provide financial education services to our members to help with everyday money-management decisions.
ACU is a part of the CU Service Centers Network. This shared-branching network of credit unions allows ACU to provide services to other credit union members from across the country. ACU members can visit other credit unions in the network to access their accounts. Look for the cu swirl logo at participating credit unions.
Alhambra Credit Union was chartered in 1955, originally to serve the teachers of Alhambra Elementary School District. Since then, we have expanded our field of membership to include all employees, students and parents of six school districts in the West Valley and Estrella Mountain Community College. We also serve individuals who are referred by existing members.
In 1992, our branch office in Avondale was opened. In 1997, our Phoenix office moved into our own facility. We continue to add new members and improve our services each year.
